Santa Clara, California, July 23, 2007 – ProWorks, Inc. today announced that two of the vehicles that it sponsors in the Champ Car Atlantic Series will be competing in the San Jose Grand Prix which will be held on the streets of San Jose on July 29, 2007.  The cars race for the Sierra Sierra team and currently hold the top and third place spot in the overall standings for the season.  The “ProWorks” car won the San Jose Grand Prix in 2006.  Commenting on the excitement leading up to the race, Bill Moradkhan, President and CEO of ProWorks said, “We have always been proud of our association with the Atlantic series especially the Sierra Sierra team which exemplifies the professionalism and passion for winning for which we strive as a company.”  Moradkhan went on to comment: “For us the San Jose Grand Prix is a “home game” and the entire employee base of the company is charged to watch the ProWorks cars bring home the checkered flag.”  ProWorks has been a sponsor of the Atlantic Series since 2002 and displays its pride for the Sierra Sierra team prominently with two former race cars placed in the lobby of each of its two buildings in Santa Clara, California.

Engine: 2.3-liter, four-cylinder, non-turbocharged, 16-valve, fuel-injected, Mazda MZR engines, capable of producing 300 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and speeds in excess of 175 mph. Engine development provided by Cosworth.

TYPES OF VENUES: Events are contested on temporary street circuits and permanent road courses. All races are sprint events between 60 and 100 miles in length and are subject to a 50-minute time limit.
