Optimized Organization Structure |
The first step in creating a world class quality delivery system is to design and implement an organization structure that is optimized. Early in the life of ProWorks, we divided the quality organization into two independent entities and emphasized empowerment and accountability in their charters: |
- Internal Audits
- Employee Training
- Corrective/Preventative Actions
- Calibration and Preventative Maintenance.
- External Audits
- ISO
- Compliance (e.g. UL)
- Customer
- Management Review
- IPC Certification of Employees
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Customer Quality Liaison
- Supplier Quality Engineering
- RMA/Failure Analysis Processes
- Management of Inspection Functions

Quality Culture |
ProWorks promotes repeatable quality by ensuring strong internal controls with a foundation of comprehensive documentation, continuous training and a dedicated internal audit program. Moreover, ProWorks prides itself on having a fanatical performance measurement and analysis culture. All major process parameters (e.g. throughput, yield, defects, cycle time, etc.) are measured retained at the serial number level and compiled and analyzed systematically using our proprietary manufacturing execution system Rhythm. |

Extensive Training Programs |
ProWorks recognizes the importance of proper training as a critical element to ensure high quality of services. Operators, inspectors, engineers, and employees of many other functions are trained and certified to the IPC-A-610 and/or the IPC-A-600 standards. ProWorks uses a state-of-the-art customized training system to monitor and manage employee training records and their progress. |

Demanding Internal Audits |
ProWorks has developed a vigorous internal auditor training program. Candidates are required to complete 40 hours of classroom instruction, observe three internal audits by other certified internal auditors, conduct three audits with guidance from a certified auditor, independently conduct two audits that will be graded and pass a written test before they are certified as a ProWorks internal auditor. The whole regimen takes more than 6 months to complete and requires a serious time commitment by the candidate. As of January 1, 2008, ProWorks has 13 certified internal auditors who have successfully completed the program. Having such a large number of qualified Internal Auditors allows ProWorks to have one of the most comprehensive Internal Audit programs in the industry with more than 15 audits conducted every quarter. Internal audits not only reinforce internal controls and highlight opportunities for continuous improvements, but also provide the internal auditors the exposure to gain in depth knowledge about various other organizations. |
